Ashley’s Foundation Scholarship
The Ashley Soulé Conroy Foundation was established by her family in loving memory. The mission is to create a permanent endowment and award scholarships to qualified students for the travel and study abroad. Scholarships are based on merit, personal qualities and/or financial need.
Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship
The Gilman Scholarship aims to diversify the kinds of students who study/intern abroad and the regions where they go. They do this by offering awards to U.S. undergraduates who might otherwise not participate due to financial constraints. This scholarship is open to U.S. citizen undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding. It is open to students who are receiving this funding at a two-year or four-year college or university. Recipients must be looking to participate in study and intern abroad programs worldwide.

- Application Deadline for Fall and Academic Year Study Abroad: Early March of the same year

Boren Awards for International Study
Boren Scholarships are an initiative of the National Security Education Program. They provide funding opportunities for U.S. undergraduate students to study less commonly taught languages in unique world regions. These regions would be places critical to U.S. interests and are underrepresented in study abroad. Regions include Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East. In exchange for funding, Boren Scholars commit to working in the federal government for at least one year after graduation.

Freeman Awards for Study in Asia
Freeman Awards for Study in Asia are designed for students who are planning to study in East or Southeast Asia. This program is designed for US-based undergraduates with a demonstrated financial need. Its goal is to increase the number of U.S. citizens with first-hand experience of Asia and its cultures.

- Application Deadline for Spring Study Abroad: October of the previous year
The Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) is a non-profit organization that awards a significant number of scholarships every year. Scholarships range from $5,000 to $10,000 and are offered to students underrepresented in international education programming. Students must be U.S. citizens or permanent U.S. residents and be going abroad for at least four weeks. Although priority is given to students coming from underrepresented groups, all that are eligible are encouraged to apply.
South India Term Abroad from the Fund for Education Abroad
The South India Term Abroad program has bestowed a gift of $195,000 to the Fund for Education Abroad (FEA). This gift will be used to fund a legacy scholarship for study abroad in India. This scholarship offers recipients $5,000 for a full semester program and $2,500 for a summer term. Preference will be given to students studying abroad in southern India, however, scholarships are open to all who apply.
Asia Pacific International Education Association (APIEA) Scholarship for Education Abroad
To support institutions, families and students who are eager to begin again international studies, the APIEA offers $100,000 worth of scholarship to students on international programs, prioritizing for destinations in Asia Pacific.

Diversity Abroad Study Abroad Scholarship & Grant Directory – Provides a list of scholarship and grant opportunities for specific programs and locations. Awards range from $500 – $9,000.
FinAid – FinAid is a comprehensive database of student financial aid information, with a large portion devoted to study abroad funding.
IIE Passport Study Abroad Funding – This comprehensive database allows you to for funding resources. You are able to search by country or subject to find study abroad scholarships. It can also help locate fellowships and grants applicable to your study abroad experience.
International Education Financial Aid – IEFA is a resource for financial aid, college scholarship and grant information. It is for US and international students wishing to study abroad. At this site, you will find a comprehensive college scholarship search and grant listings. You will also find international student loan programs and other information to promote study abroad.
