Due to the extremely high cost of health care in the United States, Providence College requires that all undergraduate students on non-immigrant visas be covered by the campus medical insurance plan under University Health Plans. International students are automatically billed each semester at the time of registration for the PC student medical insurance.
For additional coverage information, please visit University Health Plans or contact 1-833-251-1150 or info@univhealthplans.com.
International undergraduate students may not waive this insurance requirement.
Graduate international students should visit the graduate students page for information about insurance coverage options.
J-1 Exchange Visitors
J-1 students and their dependents are required by law to be covered by medical insurance, which meets the requirement of the Exchange Visitor Program. Visit the Department of State, Exchange Visitor Program to learn more about the J program requirements.
