The first step in the study abroad process for all majors is to attend a general info session with our Student Ambassador Mentors or members of the Center for Global Education staff. Please note that it is required to attend a Study Abroad 101 session before meeting with a study abroad advisor and to be approved for study abroad.
This 30-45 minute session will provide you with an overview of what study abroad looks like at Providence College. Regardless of which program you are thinking of doing or which location you would like to go to, Study Abroad 101 will help with answering some of your questions and guiding you toward next steps.
Study Abroad 101 sessions are offered every Monday through Thursday during the semester. If Providence College is closed for a holiday or due to inclement weather, Study Abroad 101 will not be offered on that day. You do not need to schedule an appointment. Just select the day and time that works best with your schedule.
